This traditional village house of approx 319m2 is located within the village of Albondón which is a picturesque village with views of the Mediterranean sea & the Sierra Nevada mountains. It is famous throughout the Alpujarras for its locally made wine. It is situated a 15 minutes drive from the sea & the beach villages of La Rabita & El Pozuelo. It is also on the doorstep of several other Alpujarran villages. Although a tranquil village, it has several public facilities such as a Public Swimming Pool which is open in the summer months, a Doctors surgery, a Pharmacy, a Town Hall, Banks, Sports hall, Tennis court, children's playgrounds, a primary school, food & clothes shops, Mechanics, 3 bakeries, butchers, a fishmonger who comes 4 times a week, bars/restaurants & Free Internet centre which gives free weekly Spanish lessons...in essence, everything you need for everyday living.
On entering this property one finds a hallway with traditional floor tiles, which in turn leads to a living room.
At the rear of this living room there is a doorway which leads to a covered terrace.
To the left of the terrace there are 2 doors, one which leads to a fully tiled shower room which consists of a small bath with shower, sink & WC.
The second door leads to a kitchen area.
The main living area near the entrance of the property gives access to several rooms. One door leads to a lounge area with French doors that lead to a Juliet balcony.
Another door leads to a double sized bedroom which has a walk in wardrobe. To the rear of this room there is a doorway which leads to a second double bedroom which is internal to the property & therefore has no windows. There is also a smaller, third bedroom off the living area.
The living area also gives access to a small room which has a staircase that leads to the first floor of the property. On ascending the stairs one finds a room with an open fireplace & a kitchen area. To the rear of this room there is a second room which is currently being used for storage. On this floor there is access to a second, much larger, covered terrace. This is an ideal area to sit & enjoy the tranquillity of the area.
From the lower street level, there is a doorway which leads to a storeroom which is underneath the main property. This room has an archway which leads to a second store room which also has its own street access. There is also an old stable beneath the property.
This property is not currently connected to mains water or electricity, but there should be no problem in reconnecting as the property is within a village.
In all this is a very quaint property, full of character, located in an idyllic village which is a pleasure to be in all year round.
